Chicago skyline.

Amtrak hooked me up at the Hyatt in Chicago because the National Weather Bureau made it their business to tell Amtrak that the weather was too bad to send out trains westward.  In that event Amtrak was kind enough to put me up in a hotel and give me cab fare to the hotel and back to the train station the next day, plus $20 for food.  Hyatt put me up on the 20th floor with a nice view of the Chicago skyline.  Below is a few of the pictures I shot from my hotel window.

I’m no longer in Chicago–and so glad.  There’s a reason it’s called the windy city–and I found that out, plus it was so cold.  I’m so glad to be in Montana.  It may not be a whole lot warmer, but it certainly is far more welcoming.
